1976 Chev

            This unit was first bought for the Town of Hay River Fire/Building Inspector. After that Town position was abolished and those duties were handed over to the Fire Chief, this unit was then used by the Fire Department for inspections and as a General Purpose Vehicle. At a Fire Scene it carried extra fuel for the Fire Apparatus, bringing used hose, equipment, and spent air bottles back to the Fire Hall. Once during the flooding of our West Channel Village it was under water to the light bars. This unit was retired in 1989.
